While traveling through Kentucky, I stayed in the tiny town of Rabbit Hash, Kentucky, with a population of 315 people. Rabbit Hash sat right on the Ohio River and was built in the early 1800s as a trading post. The General Store still stands, as does the house I stayed in, built around 1840.
The house was “decorated” with all sorts of odd and iconic furniture and art. Hidden behind a large sofa and wall unit was a 10 foot stamped iron Coca-Cola billboard from the 1940-50’s., which undoubtedly was installed in the General Store at some point.
We dragged it out, more as it dragged us, but we managed to lay it down on the floor to create this series of images.
